Suicide Squad – Worst Heroes Ever

The newest Suicide Squad trailer dropped last night! This one finally has me really excited about the movie. The first one was a good tease to the chaos, this one is all about the crazy and I love it!

Check it out:

The trailers and teasers from the upcoming DC movies have looked overly angsty and devoid of some humor and fun. Glad to see Suicide Squad is not going to be that way. It will be nice to see some protagonists who don’t have the extreme hero complex that makes them boring and overly serious (looking at you Superman).

The only character that still doesn’t quite do it for me is Will Smith’s Deadshot. I really like Smith, but he has become kinda boring for me with his last few movies. That natural charm and swagger is missing and he looks to be phoning it in. Everyone else in the cast seems to be embracing the craziness of the characters and premise, Smith just looks like he is showing up out of obligation. There are many rumors Jada and Will took on roles in the DC universe in a deal that would make their son, Jaden, the next major DC hero in his own series.

I don’t know if I will completely sold in Jared Leto’s Joker until I see the movie but he looks a lot more promising. Still hate the teeth. I don’t know why they freak me out so much, but they do.

Really enjoying Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She more than anyone else looks like she is enjoying herself immensely and I think that will translate really well on screen. “We’re bad guys. It’s what we do.”

Jai Courtney might not be so bad as Captain Boomerang. Maybe Hollywood needs to quit trying to sell him as the hunky hero and start to sell him as the crazy anti-hero.

Katana and the Soul Blade look so awesome. I would like to see more love for that character in the future, but I have a feeling she is going to take a major backseat to Harley Quinn and Enchantress.
