And here it is ladies and gentlemen. The first trailer for Wonder Woman:
For a first look, it is pretty spectacular. We see the first meeting between Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor and Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince. For unknown reasons Trevor washes on to the shores of the Amazon where Diana and her tribe live. We also get to briefly see a part of where the Amazonians live and train along with their queen Hippolyta (who is also Diana’s mother).
Brief looks of Danny Hudson (his character is still undisclosed, but it is pretty obvious he is not a good guy) and a woman with a mask covering the bottom of her face. Not sure who she is, but it doesn’t look as if she will be an ally. I loved the brief introduction of Lucy Davis’ Etta Candy. I can already tell I will like her almost as much as she likes Diana.
Most of the trailer focuses on Diana fighting in World War I and her developing relationship with Trevor. While I know there is still quite a bit of work left to be done in post, so far I think the film looks fantastic. I enjoy her warrior gear and shield. I geeked out over the golden lasso.
My excitement for Wonder Woman is still going strong and I hope yours is too.
Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2, 2017.
