Doctor Strange Sneak Peek

Marvel is the gift that keeps on giving. Continuing their promotion of Captain America: Civil War Blu-Ray being released two weeks, the superhero studio released a short look at their next film Doctor Strange. It is barely a minute long and I’m guessing there will be more on in the Special Features menu. Take a look at the sneak peek:

Not too much is teased out here other than Mordo’s (Chiwetel Ejiofor) close relationship with the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) which could be why Mordo will become Steven Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) rival in future films. When the Ancient One begins to favor Strange over Mordo who has been working with her for who knows how long, it is going to cause a big rift between the two sorcerers.

We also learn Mads Mikkelsen character’s name is Kaecilius and he is a religious zealot. Fingers crossed we get a good villain this time around. I’m getting really bored and annoyed with the standard take over the world plot.

I’m still a little burned out on Superhero movies at the moment, but I can’t help but get excited for Doctor Strange because it will introduce something very different to the MCU. Magic. How this is going to relate to the rest of the universe? I don’t know, but it will be really fun to watch.

Also, there is a possible crossover with Thor. Not long ago there were some photos circulating from the Thor: Ragnarok shoot with the titular Norse God (played by Chris Hemsworth) holding a piece of paper with Steven Strange’s address for the Sanctum Sanctorum on it.

Doctor Strange comes to theaters in the US on November 4th. Captain America: Civil War will be available on Digital HD September 2nd and Blu-Ray on September 13th.
