This is going to be super quick as it is the day before Thanksgiving and I am preparing a feast for 35+ people tomorrow. I would like to take a moment and beg DWTS producers to not have the winter finale happen the same week as a major holiday. That would be so nice, thanks.
Really this is not going to be a recap so much as a big congratulations to Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy for winning the Mirror Ball Trophy and also to say I called it! Watching the 16-year-old grow over the last 11 weeks has been so wonderful to watch.
While I’m very happy for the gymnast, I’m a little disappointed because I was rooting heavily for James Hinchliffe to win. His moves and his charm had me rooting for him (and swooning just a little).
This season has been one of the more fun competitions I’ve seen in some time and I think sets the bar pretty darn high for season 24, which will premiere sometime in March.
What did you think of the DWTS finale? Were you happy to see Laurie win? Talk to me in the comments section below.
